Be a part of Team Bugaboo!  Help run the sale and shop early!  You must be a consignor to be able to join Team Bugaboo to increase your profit.  For your participation, you will receive 1 pre-sale pass to shop before the sale begins on Thursday...even before the consignors!  You will get first dibs on the widest selection!

1 Shift...Shop at 3pm on Thursday and consignors earn 70% of their sold items.

2 Shifts...Shop at 2pm on Thursday and consignors earn 75% of their sold items.

3 Shifts...Shop at 1pm on Thursday and consignors earn 80% of their sold items.

Dads...we need you too!  Consider signing up for one of the following:  Setup, Door Security, or After Sale Sorter.  Dads have enjoyed these spots at past sales.

Team Bugaboo Positions

Setup:  The setup team will assist with assembling the clothing racks, placing signs, and preparing the sales floor for merchandise.  This requires some lifting and bending.  If you are pregnant or have a bad back…please pick a different position.  Men have also enjoyed setup at past sales.   

Drop Off: Are you an organizer?  Are you detail-oriented?  You might enjoy helping during the drop off.  You will be organizing the sales floor as merchandise comes in or inspecting clothing for stains/seasons/etc.

Tag Scanner:  The scanning team will be ringing up shoppers’ purchases.  The process is fully computerized and does not require monetary handling.  This is a standing position.

Floor Runner: The floor runner is in charge of keeping the sales floor presentable and organized, returning merchandise to the sales floor, and various other tasks.

Door Security:  If you require a seated job, this might be your best bet.  The door security will be in charge of checking receipts at the door, handing out shopping bags as shoppers enter, tagging strollers, and watching for theft.  Men are also encouraged to sign up for door security!

Line Advancer:  The line advancer assists during busy times to keep the checkout line running smoothly by advancing shoppers to the next open tag scanning station.

After Sale Sorter:  Get out your walking shoes and prepare to burn some calories!  After sale sorters sort all remaining items to numbered consignor bins.  We also tear down the racks and clean up.  We need a few good men for help with tear down as well.  

Team Leaders:  Team leaders will be in charge throughout the sale!  You will guide team members to their positions and explain their duties, assist the registers, assist shoppers with any issues, etc.  Team leaders must have been an active consignor for 4+ previous Bugaboo sales.  We need confident, assertive leaders who aren’t afraid to take charge!  Team leaders shop BEFORE ANYONE ELSE!  There are a very limited number of these positions available.  If you think you’d like to be considered as a team leader at this or future sales, please email bugabooconsign@hotmail.com.

Goody Bags - This position consists of putting together 400 goody bags and delivering to the Fairgrounds Wednesday or Thursday morning.  Goody bag items can be picked up in Yorkville the weekend before the sale, and should be returned when finished to the Fairgrounds.

Yard Signs #1- This position includes putting out and picking up 10 yard signs in designated places throughout Yorkville.  Signs should be placed the Tuesday evening or Wednesday morning prior to the sale.  Signs should be picked up Saturday after 3pm or Sunday and returned to the Fairgrounds.  This position counts for 1 Team Member shift.

FAQs for Team Members

Why should I work?
Team Members shop FIRST...even before the consignors!  To reward our Team Members for their participation, we allow all Team Members to get first dibs on the widest selection.  

Do I have to be a consignor to be a Team Member?
Yes.  In order to participate as a Bugaboo Team Member, you must also be a Consignor.  Only 15 items are needed to sell in order to be a Consignor!

I am currently pregnant and cannot be on my feet for long periods.  Can I still participate?
Yes!  Just send an email letting us know so that we can place you in a seated position.

What if I sign up for a spot and then cannot fulfill it? Team Members have up until the week before the sale to cancel their shift.  If an emergency arises last minute, we ask that you send someone to fulfill your position.  If this cannot be arranged, you will not be allowed to participate in any future Bugaboo sales.  If you commit to a shift, we are really relying on your help.  Not showing for your assigned shift leaves us in a very tough position.
